Blitzcrank, the dominator

The city of Zaun is a place where both magic and science have gone awry. The unchecked nature of experimentation has taken its toll on the city. However it has also produced many wonders, of which the Great Steam Golem is one. Now known as Blitzcrank, this automaton was the creation of a team of doctoral students from Zaun's College of Techmaturgy. However, as is often the case, credit for the golem's creation was taken by another – Professor Stanwick Pididly - though most now know the truth. It took the liberal Council of Zaun only a few weeks to declare Blitzcrank a fully-independent, sentient entity. A unique being, the golem left Zaun, feeling there was no place he could fit in. His travels led him to the one location in Valoran where unique beings have a place - the League of Legends. Fortunately, Blitzcrank was designed to fight.

Recommended Skill build:

1. Power Fist
2. Rocket grab
3. Overdrive (1-3)
4. Static Field (#1 priority to max)
5. Overdrive (#2 priority to max)
6. Power fist (#3 priority to max)
7. Rest goes to rocket grab

Recommended Summoner Skills:

Reasons for rally:
1. Rally helps you dragon. blitz can tank dragon at level 1.
2. Rally can also be used for early golem or lizard king.
3. Rally heals more than heal summoner spell.
4. Blitz has 2 stuns, you don't need exhaust for slow. Rally deals more damage anyway.
5. Rally works on whole team.
6. Rally is better for jungling.

Recommended Runes:

Red = Armor Penetrate
Yellow = Dodge
Blue = Reduced Cool-down
Purple = Armor Penetrate

Recommended Masteries:

I like to put a point into rally. The masteries are pretty intuitive. 
armor penetrate, crit, damage, cool-down reduction.

Trinity force is uniquely fitting for a blitzcrank. his 3-4 sec power fist just goes too well with trinity force. 
The slow movement speed of trinity force is fitting for blitz because he will usually get in 2-3 shots after 1 power fist. Frozen Mallet = waste. Everything about trinity force = <3.

Blitz is a fairly good tank but you're not meant to outright tank with him. His base stats give more hp and armor than most other characters so your survivability is much higher compared to other damage dealers. You can tank for short durations, and isn't squishy like ashe or teemo even if you don't get defense items.

If your opponent is stronger than you, power fist -> run -> powerfist -> run -> repeat. You won't lose out against any melee doing this.

Only Ult if the ult will kill somebody.

Grab works through certain walls. The ones with the circle roof/stones can't be penetrated, like near the first towers. You can pull through some of the thinner looking walls/ramps/cliffs/base platform/etc.

Do not go in without overdrive, unless a teammate is attacking/dying, etc.

The fun thing about blitzcrank is that your grab will never hit at long distance unless you memorize the movement pattern of your enemies.

Power fist is extremely mana-efficient and powerful, and it's wonderful for getting last hit on minions. If your opponent comes nearby and he moves away before you can land your powerfist, save it for a minion.
