Greetings summoners,
Udyr, the Animal Spirit, is one of the most unique champions. Fully melee and without an actual ultimate, Udyr is a very active, position-reliant champion. He makes for a great jungler, great ganker, and all around beast. So if you want to let out your inner animal, check out Udyr.
Click on the video just below and also scroll farther down for more detailed information on build, strategy, and playstyle.
Udyr is an extremely prominent jungler. Typically you should start with the Ancient Golem camp, using Phoenix Stance and a couple Health Potions to finish it off without getting too injured. The most important camps to reach from there are the Wraith camps and any Wolf camps you see. The non-sigil Golems are actually quite tough at level 1, so if you find one, skip it. At level 3, once you’ve gotten the Lizard buff, grab Bear Stance and gank, or take Phoenix level 2 and dominate the rest of the jungle to gank at level 4.
There are two really prominent item builds for Udyr. The first is based around Innervating Locket, which gives you close to infinite mana and a lot of health regeneration. The second is more of a default tank style, with a fast Aegis of the Legion, transitioning into items like Sunfire Cape, Banshee’s Veil, Guardian Angel, and Force of Nature. If you’re looking for additional damage output, Trinity Force and Madred’s Bloodrazor work very well.
