Mordekaiser- King of Metal - By Anexio

Mordekaiser – The King of Metal

Introduction:

As a tank, don’t expect a lot of kills, but rather assists and minion kills. Mordekaiser has a great farming potential, and he’s a great pusher, even as tank. So you’re not only useful in team battles, and taking a tower down. You can easily push lanes, and keep the push on.

Some would probably say Mordekaiser is a hybrid, and he can be a hybrid. But this build is a high dps tank. That means you have a big damage output, considered that you’re a tank.

There is no champion there is the best tank. There are good overall tanks, and they all got strengths and weaknesses. And there is no “best item build” for a tank. It depends on what you’re against. So this guide is based on a balanced team between spell and psychical damage.

Abilities:

Passive:

Iron Man
20% of the damage dealt from ability is converted in to a temporary shield. Maximum shield strength is 450.00 health. The shield decays by 3% per second.

 Abilities:

Mace of Spades (8/7/6/5/4 seconds)
On next hit, Mordekaiser swings his mace with such force that it echos out striking up to 3 additional nearby targets, dealing his attack damage plus 20/40/60/80/100 bonus damage. If the target is alone, the bonus damage is doubled.

Creeping Death (20/18/16/14/12 seconds)
Unleashes a protective cloud of metal shards to surround an ally, increasing armor and magic resistance by 10/15/20/25/30 and dealing 16/32/48/64/80 (+0 ability power) damage per second to enemies in the cloud.

Siphon of Destruction (6 seconds)
Mordekaiser damages enemies in a cone in front of him, dealing 65/110/155/200/245 (+0 ability power) magic damage.

For each unit hit, Mordekaiser's shield absorbs an additional 6/9/12/15/18 health.

Ultimate:

Children of the Grave (120/105/90 seconds)
Curses an enemy champion for 8 seconds, stealing 3/3.5/4% life per second, plus an additional 0.1% per 50 AP.

If the target dies while under the effect of the curse, their soul is enslaved and will follow Mordekaiser for 30 seconds. During this time, Mordekaiser gains 25% of their ability power, and attack damage. The spirit gains 65/75/85% + (+0 ability power)% of Mordekaiser's adjusted damage, ability power, and 50% + (+0 ability power)% of Mordekaiser's health.

I like to start out with Siphon of Destruction, Mace of Spades, and Creeping Death. And continue that circle, and pick ultimate at level 6, 11, and 16.

You can also give up in your Siphon Destruction as much as you can, that is very effective as well. The ability order aren’t so important. The important thing is how you use them.

Summoner spells

As a tank, you should be able to get around fast if your team should need you. So I use Ghost and Ignitet always. But it doesn’t really matter what you choose. Cleanse is a good option too, especially if their stupid enough to focus you, so their using Ignite, Exhaust, Slow, Stuns against you to get you down.

Masteries

I use a 9/21/0 build, a 0/21/9 build is fine as well.

Runes

I’m only using health per level since my item build isn't going for alot of hp.

Quintessence: Health per level

Seals: Healt per level

Glyphs: Healt per level

Marks:  Healt per level

Items

As Mordekaiser you should go for Regrowth Pendant always. It allows you to use you're abilities alot better.

Your boots should be Mercury’s Treads or Ninja tabi. But 9 out of 10 times I choose Mercury’s Treads.

Finish Force of Nature from your Regrowth Pendant.

Then I'm starting on the boots.

After the boots I'm going for 2 x Sunfire Cape.

For some extra damage, and some Magic Resistance, I get Abyssal Scepter. Besides that, it will help your AP champions doing more damage.

Now I'm going for Guardian Angel, only becuase of the stats on it mostly. Since they nerfed it's rescurrection, it's not alot worth anymore, but it's still a bit since you're getting loads of armor and magic resistance.

You should have 200+ armor and magic resistance without your Creeping Death. 3-3,5k health. And with you're Creeping Death, you should do roughly 200 dps because you got 2 x Sunfire Cape, and you're Abyssal Scepter.

If you get so far, you should have a gold problem at all, so I just buy all elixirs to get more hp, and more ap. And just for showoff (it's a very little upgrade for you) you can get the last one as well to get more crit chance, and some attack speed.

This is my general build. It’s NOT working for everything. If you’re against a lot of AP, focus more on your magic resistance, if you’re against a lot of AD focus on armor.

I’m not going to say which abilities you should pick, since it’s different from person to person. You should find your own way to pick your abilities.

If you have any questions you can add me ingame. My ingame name is Nanobug
