               1.     Introduction:

Many have only seen a Mordekaiser tank, which is fine. But he’s very effectively as a Hybrid.

With this build, you can do 1k damage in 1 hit. This is a lot no matter who you’re against.

And with minions in the team battles, you are even more effective since you can get your shield up. But you should get it anyway because of your massive damage output.

Many people will look strange at you when you’re telling them you’re going Hybrid as tank/ap.

2.     Abilities:

Passive:

Iron Man

20% of the damage dealt from ability is converted in to a temporary shield. Maximum shield strength is 450.00 health. The shield decays by 3% per second.

 Abilities:

Mace of Spades (8/7/6/5/4 seconds)

On next hit, Mordekaiser swings his mace with such force that it echos out striking up to 3 additional nearby targets, dealing his attack damage plus 20/40/60/80/100 bonus damage. If the target is alone, the bonus damage is doubled.

Creeping Death (20/18/16/14/12 seconds)

Unleashes a protective cloud of metal shards to surround an ally, increasing armor and magic resistance by 10/15/20/25/30 and dealing 16/32/48/64/80 (+0 ability power) damage per second to enemies in the cloud.

Siphon of Destruction (6 seconds)

Mordekaiser damages enemies in a cone in front of him, dealing 65/110/155/200/245 (+0 ability power) magic damage.

For each unit hit, Mordekaiser's shield absorbs an additional 6/9/12/15/18 health.

Ultimate:

Children of the Grave (120/105/90 seconds)

Curses an enemy champion for 8 seconds, stealing 3/3.5/4% life per second, plus an additional 0.1% per 50 AP.

If the target dies while under the effect of the curse, their soul is enslaved and will follow Mordekaiser for 30 seconds. During this time, Mordekaiser gains 25% of their ability power, and attack damage. The spirit gains 65/75/85% + (+0 ability power)% of Mordekaiser's adjusted damage, ability power, and 50% + (+0 ability power)% of Mordekaiser's health

3.     Masteries:

8.21.1 build

This will also give you 60 more health.

4.     Runes:

Marks:

Magic penetration

Seals:

Dodge

Glyphs:

Flat cooldown reduction

Quintessences:

Flat health

This gives a total of:

 + 8,5 magic penetration

+ -5,85% cooldown

+ 6,8% dodge

+ 97 health.

With the health Quintessences you will have fine amount of hp in the beginning, which I’m glad for no matter which champion I play.

5.     Summoner abilities:

I use Ghost and Ignite. Ignite is very effective with Mordekaiser Ultimate.

Ghost is to escape, catch up enemys, or tower dive if you like.

Yes, you could use Cleanse, Exhaust or something like that.

I won’t recommend anything since I think you should find out what works best for you.

6.     Skill order:

1) Siphon of Destruction

2) Mace of Spades

3) Siphon of Destruction

4) Mace of Spades

5) Siphon of Destruction

6) Children of the Grave

7) Siphon of Destruction

8) Mace of Spades

9) Siphon of Destruction

10) Mace of Spades

11) Children of the Grave

12) Mace of Spades

13) Creeping Death

14) Creeping Death

15) Creeping Death

16) Children of the Grave

17) Creeping Death

18) Creeping Death

7.     Items

1.       As the first item, you should by Regrowth Pendant.

Why? – Besides we all know it gives you health regeneration, you’re going to use it to upgrade it Warmog’s Armor, and Mordekaiser’s abilities costs health instead of mana or energy.

So it will help you spam you’re abilities to get more minion kills, and champion kills.

2.       The second item should be Sorcerer’s shoes.

You need movement speed like everyone else, and your main ability is magic (Siphon of Destruction), and Creeping Death is also going to be nice later with it.

3.       Now you should begin on Warmog’s Armor.

I like to get Giants Belt à Ruby Crystal à Warmog’s Armor.

4.       You should go for Rylai’s Scepter now.

Again I start with Giants Belt à Blasting Wand à Amplifying Tome à Rylai’s Scepter

From this point, it dosen’t matter wich order you buy these items in, I’m just showing you what I'm doing.

5.       Zhonya’s ring

6.       Void Staff

7.       Lich bane

You can use something else than Void Staff, a Rylai’s more maybe, or another Zhonya’s, it really doesn’t matter, just get more AP so they can feel Mordekaiser’s wrath.

8.     Summary

With the runes and masteries, you will start with 658 hp in level one. I like it, because you're not so squishy in the beginning.

This is how I build him. You can add or replace anything you want, but I found this very effectively.

When I’ve built him like this I’ve got more than 20 kills, I’m sure it’s a coincidence, because I’ve lost every game when I had more than 20 kills.

But I’ve also got some games where I got like like 15 kills and ~5 deaths.

I've ended to be a carry 9/10 times i built him this way.

You can add me ingame as Nanobug if you have any questions, or if you want to discuss something.
